Renting never failed on willingness.
It failed on discovery.
Enable everyone to access anything, building a world of abundance and zero waste.

What’s actually missing
is access.
Most of us, at some point in our daily lives, are compelled to give up on pursuing our dreams, learning something, trying something new or maybe just having fun experience due to “lack of resources.”
We often think of it as a problem of resources, but sometimes the underlying issue is access.
The current state of our economies is such that not everyone has access to all sorts of resources, and even those who do often end up underutilising most of these resources.
Over the last couple of decades, various startups have attempted to bridge this gap, resulting in some successes, albeit mostly limited to niche markets.
So we asked ourselves, what if we could build a medium for the world, where these resources are not underutilised, and everyone has access to absolutely everything?
What Renit is.
Renit is a rental marketplace where anyone can
rent in (take) / rent out (give) anything, anywhere, anytime.
With a strong belief that human progress, exploration and entertainment shouldn’t have any such hindrances (pertaining to access), we came up with the idea of Renit.
A guitar to learn music.
A camera to create.
A harvester to farm.
A projector for match night.
Renit is a privilege that everyone must have.
What the world looks like
if this works.
A world of ambition, adventure, and abundance.
At the very core, the true purpose of all innovation is to expand human capabilities and possibilities, and to deepen the knowledge of human consciousness. With this belief in mind, we strive to contribute to the advancement of the human race.
We see Renit as a medium that the world can use to access anything that satiates their needs & wants, and ultimately dream of even bigger things, resulting in significant productivity growth. It would free up time and capital to do more important, valuable things than in the past, causing the prices to fall, supply to rise, and demand to expand, improving the material well-being of the entire population.
We believe the way to get there is by building the world's most insanely seamless, secure, intuitive, thoughtful and community-driven marketplace - Renit.
We believe in making everyone rich, everything cheap, and everything abundant.
Why we picked something that has not worked before.
I often get asked why we are building something that hasn’t worked in the past and is incredibly hard to scale, let alone build in the first place. Why have we picked such a hard problem?
The simple answer ego (maybe). I simply cannot un-see how wonderful the world would really be when Renit is successful. And if that’s driven by ego - I’m not sure! (Aren’t all human ambitions, in a way, driven by one’s ego - perhaps to prove something to the world or to oneself?)
Here’s the thing - yes, in the past it has never worked out, but NOW is probably the best time to build it. We have all the necessary infrastructure (logistical, payments, trust, scale) that’s needed to build Renit.
We want to develop this even though most people may perceive that it would not work. Yet, they agree that if it did, it would become so intrinsic to our everyday lives that we would someday take Renit for granted.
The name.
Renit means born again, re-birth, triumph, victory and success in Sanskrit.
Two ways in.
For everyone interested in building something that’s incredibly challenging and has the lowest success rates, but at core would help enable the future artists, creators, entrepreneurs and simply make the world a better place - we’re always hiring across all domains.
